Foreign Minister H. E. Dr. Khalilur Rahman held separate meetings with H.E. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, Energy Minister of Qatar, and H.E. Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Finance Minister of Qatar, in Doha today. In the meetings, Hon’ble Adviser to Prime Minister for Finance and Planning HE Rashed Al Mahmud Titumir, Hon’ble State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources H. E. Aninda Islam Amit, Hon’ble Adviser to Prime Minister on Foreign Affairs H. E. Humaiun Kobir and high officials were present.

During the meetings, the two sides discussed issues of mutual interest, with particular focus on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy and financial sectors.

They agreed to establish Joint Working Groups to follow up on the issues discussed and advance mutually beneficial cooperation in these areas.

Foreign Minister invited both Qatari Ministers to visit Bangladesh at their mutual convenience.

The Foreign Minister is currently visiting Doha on a two-day official visit, leading a high-level Bangladesh delegation.
